The Guangzhou Municipal Administration of Industry and Commerce issued the Notice on the launch of the Pilot Program for the Business Affairs Registration System, announcing that the program will be launched from September 1, 2013.

The new business affairs registration system will be trialed in Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone (including Guangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Guangzhou Free Trade Zone, and Guangzhou Export Processing Zone), Guangzhou Nansha New District, Guangzhou Zengcheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, China-Singapore Knowledge City, Guangzhou International Bio-Island, and Tianhe Central Business District (Zhujiang New Town). Elsewhere, the existing industry and commerce registration system will remain unchanged.

In the areas where the new registration system is trailed, enterprises which are applying for new establishments, changes of existing registration or revocation of business entities must follow the Guangzhou Provisional Measures for the Reform of the Business Affairs Registration System.
