Announcement No. 20 of 2013 of the State Administration of Taxation

        Through negotiation, representatives from competent tax authorities of ChinaandAustraliaagreed to apply the Sino-Australian Tax Treaty to Australian newly-added tax - Mineral Resource Rent Tax. This tax was established by Australia in accordance with its domestic law. It is formulated to impose a tax on those who make profits from iron ore project and coal mine project. This tax is substantially equivalent to the petroleum resource rent tax listed by Australia in the tax scope of Sino-Australian Tax Treaty.

This announcement will be implemented on June 1, 2013.
